Thank you so much for looking us up: we look forward to seeing you in Oxford.

We do our very best to offer a thoroughly personal service.  Whether on one of our small-group (maximum eight passengers – often we travel with fewer) Daily Tours, or on your own tailor-made Personal Tour, our aim is to ensure your total enjoyment. We want you to feel as if you are in your own car, but with someone else doing the driving – whilst telling you what to look out for, and where to take the best pictures!

Martin Cowell,  Director of  Absolute Touring Limited,  enjoyed a long career in book publishing, always in customer-facing roles.  A keen traveller himself, he has lived in or near Oxford for thirty-five years (having grown up in Cambridge....!).  Martin was instrumental in the growth of the business, and assumed sole ownership in late 2008. Martin will answer your enquiry personally and see it right through to a successful conclusion; he drives many of the tours himself.

John and Noel, who make up our team, are very experienced chauffeur/guides, rightly proud of their excellent client feedback. Also widely- travelled, they have a wonderful knowledge of the countryside we visit (as well as the towns and villages!). Whilst our set tours follow the same routes, we all have a different slant on the journey – we encourage questions and do not stick to a company script!

John has spent his life in West Oxfordshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds. His career ranged from Telecoms Engineer to Producer/Presenter for BBC Local Radio in Oxford. For many years he hosted a wide variety of programmes, reflecting the Oxfordshire countryside and its many characters. In his spare time John and his wife ran a bed & breakfast for 25 years: he has a  fund of stories to amuse and amaze you as a result.

Noel has lived in Oxford for many years, working for major companies as well as running his own business. He has acquired a wealth of knowledge of the places we visit, and many more - he takes great pleasure in showing our clients those unexpected extras that make all the difference to their tour.
